By leveraging its high speed railway network, China is simultaneously advancing the laying of new-generation backbone optical cables, creating new "Eight North-South and Eight East-West" computing power transmission corridors. High speed railway lines offer the advantages of shorter distance, enclosed and secure environments. Combined with new optical fibers that feature a 16-fold capacity expansion, the initiative breaks through cross-regional data transmission bottlenecks in the "east-data-west-computing" project and builds a nationally integrated computing power network.
